On May 10, 2023, Jim Williams, Private Public Partnership Operations Officer with the LABEOC, presented “Have you prepared your business for the next disaster?” to private sector attendees at the Louisiana Emergency Management Conference.

The Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) and the Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association (LEPA) co-host the annual Louisiana Emergency Management Conference (LEMC) to be held in Lake Charles, Louisiana on May 8th through May 11th 2023.

The conference will include education, outreach and training tailored to the needs of federal, state and local government, business, labor, industry, agriculture, civic and volunteer organizations, and community leaders specifically pertaining to homeland security, emergency preparedness, disaster recovery and mitigation activities. Vendors will also be on display.
